GLU Festival
I am one of the main organizers of GLU, a small underground festival that takes place once a year on a farm close to the border between Germany and Poland.
I am in charge of the art curation, design and general organization. Each year it features a varied line-up of DJs and a rich cultural program made out of artists from the Berlin underground art scene. We offer consent workshops, spoken word, art installations, ambient music and dance performances, among others. We believe that not only art, but also curation needs to come from below, especially in such a period where institutions are censored and fundings are getting cut: art, community and organizing events as political acts.
It’s music, to vibrate the soil, the soul. It’s raving, it’s sharing. It’s queer, it’s being outside what society tells us is the norm, it’s being free.

What is GLU?
A small utopia of art, people and music. A weekend without borders between us. It’s community, art and culture. It’s performances, workshops, and creation through mutual support. It’s trance states, dancing until our feet hurt and our bodies are healed, looking at the fire, telling each other stories. It’s music, to vibrate the soil, the soul. It’s raving, it’s sharing. It’s queer, it’s being outside what society tells us is the norm, it’s being free.
